Brief  Information  of  TingYang Zhao  (Zhao TingYang; 赵汀阳)

Born in 1961, TingYang Zhao is usually been regarded as the most important and famous philosopher of contemporary Chinese.

 

TingYang Zhao is the professor of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS); research scholar of Peking University, Tsinghua University, Capital Normal University and other three universities; he also participates in several international academical institutions, such as 'LeRobert'(Europe) and 'United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization'(UNESCO).

 

Zhao is the author of "On Possible Life", "One or All Problem", "All-under-heaven('tianxia') System", "No World-view for the World", and other forteen books. His publication also including eighty papers, and a great many philosophical comic and reviews. Among them，English language papers include "Pour un Syntext" and "The Times of Reculturing",No.41-42、45-46, ALLIAGE 2000-01(France); "Is it possible if a new encyclopedia is needed?" and "Understanding and Acceptance", Les Assises de la connaissance reciproque,2003; "Reciprocidad Alteralidad", in En el Camino: Cultura y Patrimonio,2002(Spain); "On the Best Possible Golden Rule", Social Sciences in China winter 2005; "Rethinking Empire from a Chinese Concept All-under-heaven", Social Identities, Vol.12,2006.(UK). Professor TingYang Zhao went to Europe's several contries for academical conference in the past years.

 

Besides his outstanding creativeness, another characteristic of Zhao's thinking is his versatility. He works in the areas of metaphysics, ethics, aesthetics, etc. The primary topics of interest in recent years are political philosophy(especially the 'TianXia' System theory, which is his another oringinal theroy), Chinese confucian ethical turn in political Philosophy, etc.
